“Cut me open and I will bleed Seahawk blue”
Cannonball would be honored to represent The Seattle Seahawks in the Visa Hall of Fans this year.
It is the mission of Cannonball to pass on my passion for Seahawk football to everyone I meet whether they be young or old, and to ensure there are many “diehard” fans around long after I’m gone.
My image and the Seattle Seahawks are one in the same. It has been my privilege to
represent The Hawks in TV commercials for season tickets and promotions as well several local media publications and broadcasts. I have also been shown in NFL
Films videos and even had the honor of leading off the Monday Night Football telecast.
To me game day is a lot like Christmas. I am always up with dawn’s early light to begin the preparation for my trip to football heaven. It takes over
two hours to carefully apply face paint and ready the ensemble. This includes authentic game pants, jersey, a Riddell helmet, and yes even the same shoes and socks worn by my heroes of the gridiron. When the last detail of has been completed Cannonball is ready to do battle!
I also get to drive the “Hawk mobile” which is adorned with flags, magnets and decals to the stadium with the best friends a man could be blessed to have. They are affectionately called “The Flock”.
Cannonball is known for his ability to fire up the crowd. If I feel like we need make more noise to help the team I will run up and down the aisles and encourage everyone to GET LOUD!
I firmly believe in being a fan with class. It is our duty to go to war for
four quarters and still be able to shake hands after the game and thank the opposition for their effort.
It has also been a great thrill for me to have been a member of The Seahawkers booster club for many years.
In closing, I would just like to say that it would be my highest honor to be included in the Visa Hall of Fans.
