Pacific Coast Seahawkers Events
Dana Patera had been a longtime member of the So. Cal. Sea
Hawkers. She enjoyed seeing old friends and tailgating in J-3
before the Seahawks would take on the San Diego Chargers.
Unfortunately, that Chapter folded two years ago and Dana was
left without a local chapter near her residence in Oceanside,
CA. Since that time, Dana aspired to fill the void.
Last year, Dana began to build a new chapter. She submitted
her name to Seahawkers.org on the "Future's Page".
She began to receive inquiries about a chapter and was given
referrals from Past President, Andrew Wright, and current V.P.
of Membership, Traci Williams. In January, Dana decided that
it was time to get the group together and see if a new chapter
was possible. Nearly a dozen Seahawk fans showed up at Rookies
Sports Bar in Oceanside, CA on the day of the 2004 Pro Bowl
and elected to move forward with a new chapter.
In March, Dana submitted a membership list of sixteen,
by-laws and articles of incorporation, and other required
items to establish an associate satellite chapter. Then, on
April 6th, it happened... The Pacific Coast Sea Hawkers were
granted Trial Status as the newest chapter of the Seahawks
Official Booster Club.
Dana and Michael Simpson, the Pacific Coast Sea Hawkers
President and Vice President respectively, and all the members
of the new chapter look forward to the year ahead. They are
already hard at work organizing a Draft Day Party, a
Pre-Season MNF Viewing Party in August, and resuming the
tradition of taking over J-3 at Qualcomm Stadium with the Nor
Cal Chapter for the Seahawk/Charger pre-season game.
