2023 Seahawks Thanksgiving Night Game

Seattle’s First Thanksgiving Night Football Game: A Front-Row Experience at Lumen Field

Enjoying a turkey leg and football under the lights on Thanksgiving night in Seattle.

Attending the Thursday Night Football prime-time game in Seattle on Thanksgiving 2023 was an unforgettable experience. It was a historic night, as this was the first-ever Thanksgiving football game hosted in Seattle, adding an extra layer of excitement to the already electric atmosphere at Lumen Field. The crisp November air, the bright stadium lights, and the passionate 12th Man crowd made for a perfect holiday setting. Seahawks fans showed up in full force, decked out in blue and green, ready to witness their team take on the San Francisco 49ers under the national spotlight.

I had the incredible privilege of sitting front row in the end zone, giving me an up-close view of all the action. From the opening kickoff to the final whistle, the energy was unmatched as the Seahawks battled fiercely against their division rival. The game itself was a hard-fought contest, but unfortunately, Seattle fell short, losing to the 49ers with a final score of 31-13. Despite the loss, the experience of being that close to the players and seeing the intensity of the game firsthand was absolutely surreal.

One of the most memorable highlights of the night was enjoying a warm Thanksgiving meal right in the stadium. Sitting in my prime spot, I indulged in a turkey leg, making the holiday feel even more special. What made it even better was sharing the moment with Mr. Seahawk himself, a long-time super fan. Between bites of delicious food and high-fives with the mascot, it was a unique way to celebrate Thanksgiving while cheering on the home team.

Even though the Seahawks didn’t secure the win, the night was still a success in every other way. The electric crowd, the historic significance of the game, and the joy of celebrating Thanksgiving in such a special setting made it an experience to remember. It was a night of football, food, and unforgettable memories—one that I’ll cherish forever as part of Seahawks history.
