Purdue made him an honorary captain, and Ross-Ade has not forgotten him. Ross-Ade Stadium wall art, drawn from a raised corner with the Tyler Trent tribute on the board and Purdue Pete leading the marching band below. Boiler Up, and remember who that is on the screen.

Relive Those Memorable Purdue Boilermakers Moments At Ross-Ade Stadium

In West Lafayette, college football has given us everything—walk-off joy, tough endings, and memories that stick. I created this Ross-Ade Stadium wall art as a personal tribute to the Purdue Boilermakers moments and the place where we cheer and sometimes cry. Every line and color nods to moments that made West Lafayette believe. Whether in your home, office or fan cave, let it pull you back to your favorite Purdue Boilermakers memories.

Ross-Ade Stadium, West Lafayette, Indiana. The college football home of the Purdue Boilermakers.

This Ross-Ade Stadium print is drawn from a raised corner above the end zone, the jumbotron carrying a tribute to Tyler Trent.

He was a Purdue student. He camped out for tickets after chemo. In 2018 he predicted Purdue would beat an undefeated Ohio State team and they did, and the coach made him a captain in the locker room that night. Now there is a steel arch over Gate T2 with his face on it and two words underneath: Forever Our Captain. The lower left brings West Lafayette in: “Boilermakers” across the brick, and Purdue Pete out in front of the marching band, leading them the way he always has. Some stadiums get a statue of a coach. Purdue built a gate for a student.

Every Ross-Ade Stadium print in the architecture college football stadium series is marked in the lower right with the venue, the city and the state: Ross-Ade Stadium, West Lafayette, Indiana. Available as a fine art print or a canvas wrap.

Created by Brian D. Oakes, who has spent years drawing the stadiums where you arrive with your own people and end up celebrating with everybody else’s the second the ball crosses the goal line. Purdue Boilermakers wall art for the fan who knows that building, and a gift for the one who is still waiting on it.

Learn more about artist Brian D. Oakes

I was born and raised on Long Island, New York, and moved to my dream city of Seattle, Washington, in 2022. My passion for architecture started in childhood, inspired by icons like the Space Needle, Chrysler Building, and Madison Square Garden. Merging my love for sports and design, I create art that captures not just the structure of a building or stadium but the energy, history, and memories it holds.

How do you create your artwork?

Each piece is crafted using a mixed-media process that combines digital sketching, watercolor painting, and architectural blueprint techniques. I work on a 28″ professional designer’s digital drawing screen with a variety of digital pencils, allowing for fine details that bring each building to life.

What’s the difference between a fine art print and a canvas wrap?

Fine art prints are flat, archival-quality giclée prints on heavyweight paper that require framing (not included). Canvas wraps are printed on durable canvas, stretched over a 1.5″ wooden frame, back-sealed with black foam core, and arrive with pre-installed hardware ready to hang.

What sizes are offered?
  • Small Prints
Perfect anywhere — display on shelves, desks, or hung on walls.
    Sizes: 8×8, 10×10, 12×12

  • Large Prints
Make a bold statement in any bedroom, sports room, or fan cave.
    Sizes: 16×16, 20×20, 30×30

  • Canvas Wraps
Make your rivals jealous with a floating canvas that sparks conversation and shows team pride.
    Sizes: 10×10, 12×12, 16×16, 20×20, 30×30
What is your most popular type / size?

The most popular choice among collectors of my work is the 16×16 Canvas Wrap, with the 20×20 size right behind it. I’ve found the 16×16 to be a sweet spot — it makes a great gift, it’s big enough to stand out, but not so large that it takes over a room.

Each piece is printed on canvas and stretched around a sturdy 1.5″ frame, so it arrives ready to hang straight out of the box with no framing needed. I also offer the option to include a personalized message along the bottom edge, which many people love adding as a meaningful touch.

Can I personalize my order?

Yes! All canvas wraps can have a personalized message added to the bottom/under edge of the canvas at no additional cost. I also offer the option to customize my pieces by incorporating a client-provided reference photo into the foreground or onto the jumbotron of their favorite stadium. You can learn more about customizing your stadium print with add on options.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Once you place your order, it’s automatically sent to one of my trusted U.S.-based print partners for production, ensuring a fast and efficient process. Most orders arrive in about a week, though times can vary. Delivery times may vary during peak seasons or due to carrier delays. All pieces are designed, printed, and shipped from within the United States.

We love the print. Ordering process was super easy. Shipping was quick. The day it was due, it was raining and we weren’t home all day. We were worried but it was wrapped in plastic and we’ll protected.
