This Tiger Stadium print is drawn from a raised view above the end zone, LSU across the gold paint and the purple stacked up over it in every direction.
Those arches are hiding something. Louisiana would fund dormitories and would not fund stadium seats, so Huey Long built the dorms into the stands and put the seats on top of them. Students slept inside this building for sixty years. The lower left brings Baton Rouge in: the arches of the Tiger Stadium facade under the purple banner, the trees along the walk, and Mike the Tiger in bronze, facing straight out at whoever is coming up.
