Climate Pledge Arena, Seattle, Washington. The hockey home of the Seattle Kraken.
This Climate Pledge Arena print is drawn from a raised ice view in the goalie’s corner, under the dual jumbotron screens that hang over the ice.
The rafters carry the whole story. The number 32 jersey the Kraken retired on opening night for the 32,000 depositors who made Seattle the league’s 32nd franchise, and the Seattle Metropolitans Stanley Cup banner hanging for the city’s first hockey team. The lower left brings Seattle in: the exterior of Climate Pledge Arena and that historic roof. They would not take it down. So they propped it up on temporary steel, dug out everything underneath it, and built a brand new arena in the hole. Forty four million pounds of 1962 concrete, held in the air while the ground disappeared below it. Behind it, the Space Needle, flying a Kraken flag. Both of them came out of the same World’s Fair.
Every Climate Pledge Arena print in the architecture hockey arena series is marked in the lower right with the venue, the city and the state: Climate Pledge Arena, Seattle, Washington. Available as a fine art print or a canvas wrap.
Created by Brian D. Oakes, who has spent years drawing the arenas you go to with the people you love and leave having celebrated with people you have never met, the moment the puck enters the net. Seattle Kraken wall art for the fan who has been in that room, and a gift for the one still waiting to go.

The Kraken Print, my sixth print from you, was excellent. It is currently being framed to join the others. Your work looks real good on the wall and blends in well with the other sports art that is here. Your work is a great value with excellent customer service!

Just wanted to let you know my grandaughter loved the print with the personalization. Her husband and our great grandson loved the fact you put them on the Jumbotron! James, my grandson is a HUGE Kraken fan and announced that the print has to be put in his room, so I guess that’ll be the photo when I get it, of the print in James room. Your help and process was exceptional, and we can’t thank you enough for the art. Shipping was easy, packaging was great, and time frame was expedient for being during the Christmas season. I now have some more family that I can shop for. Thanks again, have a great New Year!!
