A little bit of history behind this piece… This black and white photograph was taken by Brian D. Oakes, the day of the game against the New York Giants in the 2005 NFL Season. This was a memorable game in Seattle Seahawks as the Giants’ kicker missed 3 field goal attempts in overtime. During the course of the game, the New York Giants committed 11 false starts—an NFL record at the time, thanks largely in part to the screaming fans. Later that season, the Seattle Seahawks went on to play in their first Super Bowl appearance. This piece was titled “Dawn of a New Era” signifying the start of many winning seasons for Seattle.

This is without a doubt the most unique image I have ever seen of Century Link Field. It is so simplistic yet powerful. I got a large print of this framed and anyone who comes in my house comments on it. Go Hawks!

As a diehard, life long Seahawk fan, the Clink is my home away from home. I’ve made so many great memories there. When I’m at home I can sit in the living room and look at this picture and it just pulls me right back to Seattle and all these memories. My only regret is I wish I would have gotten a bigger one.
